Men can usually dress however they like but women should respectfully consider dressing more conservatively. When visiting mosques, cover yourself if you are wearing shorts and T-shirts, women especially. More established shops will take credit cards but most smaller markets and street vendors will not. Be ready to pay with the local currency. If shopping in markets or Medinas, learn to barter as bartering is an important part of the culture. Bear in mind this is a Muslim country and most shops and attractions close on Fridays. Moroccans speak a mixture of Arabic, Berber, English, and French. English is widely spoken in larger cities. When taking photographs of people, ask if it is in order to do so.
